Meet the Studio 508 Team

SOUND DESIGNER

Tom Heuzenroeder

Tom began his career in film sound at the tail-end of the sprocket era. With a background in music and a passion for free-spirited sound exploration, he has been nominated for an Emmy Award and has received multiple AACTA and Australian Screen Sound Guild awards over his 25-year career. After years of collaborating with Duncan on various productions, Tom joined him in founding Studio 508, uniting experience, craft, and a constant drive to push sonic boundaries.

Duncan Campbell

SOUND DESIGNER

Duncan's been shaping Adelaide's creative underground for two decades, from concept rock theatrics in Mr Wednesday to the raw synth mayhem of Mondo Psycho. His journey into professional sound design was gritty and physical, yet anchored by sharp instincts for story and tone. With multiple Australian Screen Sound Guild awards and an MPSE nomination under his belt, Duncan co-founded Studio 508 alongside Tom. Whether building tension with a whisper or delivering sonic gut-punches, his sound design serves the story with uncompromising intensity.

Alexandra Short

STUDIO COORDINATOR

After honing her producing instincts, volunteering countless hours wrangling friends' creative projects, Alexandra was welcomed into post-sound by her best friend. Her obsessive love for spreadsheets found perfect purpose in audio production, turning creative chaos into beautiful workflows. A passionate fan of vintage Disney's musical storytelling, Alexandra is also 508's style epicentre, bringing her fun fashion sense to match her flawless project management.

Roisin Gleeson

FIRST ASSISTANT SOUND EDITOR

Roisin discovered a passion for sound at university, inspired by the creativity of her peers and driven to bring their visions to life. As a sound assistant, she has a keen appreciation for the finer details - the quiet problem-solving that keeps everything running smoothly and helps the team shine. With a special fondness for naturalistic backgrounds, Roisin finds calm in crafting immersive textures and looks forward to a long, rewarding career in sound. Her laugh often arrives before she does, but when it’s time to work, she’s all focus.
